Sabres End October With Four-Win Week

FARIBAULT, MINN. – Four games over the course of six days did not phase the winning ways of the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Boys U15 hockey team as they closed out the month of October.

On Tuesday, October 22, SSM traveled to Vadnais Heights, Minn. to take on Gentry Academy in their first game of a home-and-home series against them. The Sabres defeated Gentry Academy 6-0 on their ice and 9-1 on Thursday on home ice.

Over the weekend, the Sabres squared off against the Northeast Wisconsin Jr. Gamblers. With solid team play and strong goaltending, the U15s gained two more wins with scores of 6-3 and 6-2 to boost their overall record to 12-5.

The U15s will continue play this weekend as they host their first home showcase of the season.
