FARIBAULT, MINN. - Nadia Cooper ‘21, goalkeeper for Shattuck-St. Mary’s Girls U15DA soccer team, has been selected for the Under-15 Girls’ National Teams training camp in Norco, Calif. March 4-11.
The camp, which is the second one of the year for the U-15 age group, will help prepare for the 2018 CONCACAF Under-15 Girls’ Championship in August.
“I am thrilled for Nadia’s opportunity at this camp. It is a culmination of a lot of work on and off the field. She is a talented young lady and has grown tremendously in the community here at Shattuck,” said Shattuck-St. Mary’s U15DA head coach Sue Vodicka.
“We have encouraged Nadia to approach this opportunity with confidence because her selection is an acknowledgement of her talent. At the same time, she will need to stay humble to keep moving forward on the path to reach her ultimate goal. This is a great step for her but only one step - there many more still to take. For the time being, we want her to enjoy this opportunity and make the most of her week in California,” said Joe DeMay, Director of Girls Soccer.
