Boys U17 Soccer Defeats Des Moines Menace

DES MOINES, IOWA - A shutout game put the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Boys U17 soccer team in the win column on Saturday.

Though a close victory on the scoreboard, the game itself was not. In both halves, SSM created goal scoring opportunities by moving the ball quickly and combining with teammates in the middle and final thirds. Defensively, the Sabres provided significant pressure to force mistakes and regain possession quickly. Combined, the efforts resulted in the hard-earned shutout.

The Sabres will face Vardar in their first Academy game of the season in Michigan on Saturday.
