Levy and Marshall Notch WCHA Honors in Opening Week

FARIBAULT, MINN. - Shattuck-St. Mary’s alums Abigail Levy ‘18 and Patti Marshall ‘16 started their seasons off with impressive performances within the WCHA as the collegiate women’s hockey season began this past weekend.

Levy, a freshman goaltender at Minnesota State University - Mankato, earned WCHA Rookie of the Week in her first games with the Mavericks. Her two winning performances in net helped Minnesota State earn their first home series sweep since 2016. This also marked the first time a Maverick goalie started the season with two wins since the 2011-12 season.

Marshall, a Thief River Falls, Minn. native, received the WCHA Defenseman of the Week honor. A junior at the University of Minnesota, Marshall ended the weekend with a goal, two assists, and a +5 rating. This marks Marshall’s second career WCHA award.
