SILVIS, ILL. - Despite the cold and windy weather, the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Golf Center of Excellence came out on top at the TPC Deere Run Junior Open in Silvis, Ill. over the weekend.
Due to the unpleasant weather, the tournament was shortened to an 18-hole event, which found three Sabres at the top of the leaderboard. Cayla Kim ‘19 took first place in the Girls 14-18 division with a score of 81, followed closely by Piper Hill ‘22 who took second place after shooting an 85. In the Boys 11-13 division, Ken Shibata ‘23 tied for second with a score of 81.
The Sabres will return to Illinois this weekend for the Chicago Junior Open in Wheaton.
