Old Rink

Constructed: 1968
Home To: Seven SSM hockey teams and the SSM figure skating team

The old rink has been a staple in Minnesota hockey for years. Built in 1968, the Old Rink is home to seven SSM hockey teams as well the Shattuck-St. Mary's figure skating team. It has housed national championship hockey teams and seen NHL stars such as Zach Parise, Sidney Crosby, and Jonathan Toews grow and develop their game. While the New Rink was built adjacent to the Old Rink in 2005, the Old Rink still gives a glimpse of hockey history at Shattuck-St. Mary's.

From the main campus: The Old Rink is located directly north of the main campus. As you leave Shattuck-St. Mary's, turn left on Shumway Ave and you'll see the sports complex a half mile down the road on your left side.
